Playcar is an Italian private CSO. We started our activity in May 2014 and obtained authorization for 10 parking lots from local government. We reached 100 users in six months and at the moment we are planning to add some more vehicles: bigger cars, vans, vehicles for disabled people and motor –scooters. We will introduce new LP Gas vehicles to reduce co2 emissions when new parking lots will be authorized.
During our first month of activity we organized a course of sustainable mobility together with the public transport Company, a bike sharing organization and the University of Cagliari. We proposed to compensate for our Co2 Emissions planting trees in a new green park in Cagliari. In other words we want to localize environmental compensation. Playcar is also waiting for the authorization to place electric charge columns around the city with the first zero emission electric vehicles.
In September 2014 the municipality of Cagliari allowed Playcar vehicles to park for free in pay and display parkings and free access to all limited traffic zones in the city.
Playcar has highly competitive rates: from €.1,50/h e €.25,00 per day + km. Some rate plans for university students and nonprofit organizations from €.1,00/h.
Sardinia’s appeal as a tourist destination leads us to create new offers for people coming here for a short time.
