2026 CSA Annual Conference
Carsharing at the Core
Celebrating the shared mobility OG and its essential role in how we move.
Over two days, we’ll dig into why carsharing remains a cornerstone of sustainable, multimodal transport—and how operators, cities, and partners can keep it thriving alongside transit, micromobility, and active transportation. Expect practical sessions, honest conversations, and plenty of opportunities to swap ideas, stories, and lessons learned with peers who understand your work.
Whether you’re running a fleet, designing user-centred services, building policy, or funding better mobility options, this is your place to connect, recharge, and co-create what’s next for carsharing.
Who's invited?
This conference is open to everyone working in “the carsharing eco-system”:
- Carshare operators, co-ops, start-ups, and established providers
- Product, service and UX designers
- Policy makers and public servants
- Urban and rural transportation planners
- Transit agencies and municipal staff
- Researchers, advocates, and NGOs
- Technology and platform providers
- Funders, investors, and partners in the shared mobility ecosystem
- Insurance, legal and not-for-profit environmental organizations
If your work touches shared cars, multimodal networks, or reducing private car dependence, we’d love to see you there.
Sponsorship Opportunities
We’re inviting sponsors and partners who share our vision of better, more equitable, and more sustainable mobility to get involved. As a sponsor, you can look forward to:
- High-visibility brand exposure before, during, and after the event
- Opportunities for a booth or exhibition space to showcase your products, services, or research
- Opportunity for greater exposure for larger sponsors during sessions and workshops
- Direct access to leaders and decision-makers from carshare operators, cities, and mobility organisations around the world
If you’d like to learn more about our sponsorship packages, please contact: executivedirector@carsharing.org
Location: Vancouver
We’re gathering in Vancouver, just across the water from downtown Vancouver – once dubbed the ‘Carsharing capital of North America’, thanks to its mature ecosystem of operators and strong public support for shared mobility.
Here, carsharing isn’t theoretical—it’s part of everyday life. Operators like Modo and Evo are deeply integrated into the local transport network, making this an ideal backdrop to explore what’s possible when carsharing is treated as essential infrastructure rather than a niche add-on.
Venue: Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier
The conference will take place at the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier in Lower Lonsdale, steps from the waterfront, restaurants, and the SeaBus to downtown Vancouver.
Our sessions will be held in the hotel’s ballroom spaces, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with views over Burrard Inlet to the Vancouver skyline—a daily reminder of the city and region we’re here to learn from.
For attendees travelling from outside the region or internationally, a block of guest rooms will be reserved at the Pinnacle for the duration of the conference, offering the convenience of staying right where the action is. If you’d like to book one of these rooms of if you need a room to host groups at the conference, please email info@carsharing.org with your details.
Call for Submissions: Panels & Presentations
We’re still finalizing the conference theme, but one thing is clear: carsharing remains an essential part of the transportation mix—and we want your ideas on how to keep it that way. We welcome proposals for panels, presentations, workshops, and case studies on topics such as (but not limited to):
- Operational best practices and lessons learned
- Integrating carsharing with transit, micromobility, and active transportation
- Equity, accessibility, and community-centred design
- Financial resilience and innovative business models
- Climate, emissions reductions, and measuring impact
- Policy, regulation, and public–private partnerships
- Technology, data, and user experience
Not every submission can be accepted, but we encourage you to submit anyway—your proposal helps us understand what the community wants to talk about and may inform future events, webinars, or publications.
